Recent events have been unprecedented and caused a great deal of upheaval and distress to many families. In our region many families were impacted severely by the bushfires and now everyone has been impacted by the Coronavirus.
We have created this page to provide some additional information. Our centre is constantly evaluating the risks of these events. Primarily here we would like to provide some further information about financial support as we know many families may be experiencing difficulties in these circumstances.
On 2 April 2020, the Australian Government announced the Early Childhood Education and Care Relief Package that gives families much-needed fee relief while supporting services to keep their doors open and employees in their jobs. From Monday, 6.04.2020 till the week ending 28.06.2020, Childcare will be free for all enrolled children. Further information can be found on the Services Australia website.
As per the directive of the Government we will remain open for families that need care for their children, unless advised to close by the Department of Health. We are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment that reduces the chance of being infected or spreading COVID-19. In recognition of the rapid spread of the disease and the ongoing release of information from the authorities we have developed a ‘Dealing with Infectious Diseases-COVID -19 Policy’. This policy has been put on the community page in StoryPark and can also be accessed through our website.
Please read the policy carefully. Some of the salient points are given below:
